Question for you: do you have any wisdom keepers in your lineage? Do you have anyone in your lineage, whether they're male or female, who have preserved knowledge and wisdom and can pass down that ancestral knowledge and those traditions down to you, or any kind of high wisdom that has been accumulated that they can pass down to you at this time? Do you know anyone in your lineage who does that?

I was thinking about this the other day, because I have been trying to look back into my ancestral line, just to see if there's anyone in particular that I can look up to, to ask questions about how things have been and what's been happening in my lineage. Just to kind of figure out what is really going on down this line, and where do I come from? I've been trying to think about those things really seriously, and wondering if there's anyone who could help me. And first of all, I don't really think I should be thinking about this thing too much, because someone should be there, right? I'm imagining that there should be someone, at least someone who knows that this person is a wisdom keeper, who the young generation can look up to as the person who is kind of the matriarch or the patriarch, who is the holder of wisdom. Why should we be looking for this thing? Why should we be really digging deep to find out if there's anyone like that?

So this thing has really been bothering me, because in my own lineage I've been trying to figure out who is the person, and I have been told that there's no one who is the person. So I'm thinking, oh my gosh, maybe I should be the person. Why not? I really feel like I could be the person who passes down information to the younger ones, but the younger ones are definitely not interested in my stuff. So it's just this whole crazy thing where there's this break in passing wisdom down to the younger generation, because people are doing their own things these days. I'm doing my thing, everyone else is doing their thing, and really, who am I to think that anything that I have to offer is going to be beneficial for the next person? So it's just been that whole loop of: what is happening to the generations? I know there's some cultures out here that are really strong on traditions, and I just wish that I was really part of them. But I am part of who I am. In my lineage, there really is no one, and it's unfortunate. I wish I had an auntie or an uncle that I could turn to, but I do not have any of those people that I can really reliably say is a person who can give me information. And I've tried to ask some of my older cousins and my older relatives to at least guide me toward one of them, and nobody seems to know, and everybody seems to think like: alright, maybe not, let's not even go there. So I'm kind of letting it go, because people are focusing on whatever it is people are focusing on, rather than trying to dig deep. But I've come into some information that makes me interested in kind of finding out what my lineage is all about and what my roots are, even though I know that I'm really not from here.

It's just an interesting subject matter to explore, but it is what it is. So anyway, how about you? Is there anyone interesting in your lineage that has passed down information to you, or that everyone in your lineage looks up to as the person who passes down information? Or are you the one? And I'm thinking: the way the world is changing, we are the ones who are gonna be passing down information somehow. I don't even know how that information is going to be leaking out from us and going down into the other generations, but we are the ones who are now gonna be the ones who are passing down the wisdom. Are you ready to do that? Are you ready to step into that role?

The funny thing is that the other day, a young friend of mine in her 30s stopped by to visit me. And while she was visiting, someone called her phone, and she picked up the phone and told the person on the phone that she was talking to her elderly friend. Her elderly friend, like, what? She referred to me as an elderly friend, and I was just like, oh my gosh. What is this person thinking? Me, elderly? Like someone is actually calling me an elderly person. And I was like, okay, maybe I am this matriarch now. Who even thinks I'm a matriarch? Who even uses the word "elderly"? But then now I'm thinking about it: maybe it's time for me to step into my role of being the person who is the wisdom keeper, who passes higher wisdom down to the young ones. If they want this information, Auntie Caroline is ready to pass this information. So this elderly person is signing up for wisdom-keeping duty. Are you? Let me know in the comment section. Until next time, I love you. Bye.
