In this video I want to share something about Onyx, Black Onyx, because quite a few people have asked me to touch on this subject of black Onyx, and I've also been meaning to talk about it for a while now. So black Onyx lovers, get excited, because I'm going to share some cool things about this crystal, and I'm also going to share some crystal combinations for Onyx. Plus, I want to hear your perspective about black Onyx in the comment section. Deal? Okay. Good.

Anyway, at this moment I don't have an Onyx crystal to share with you, for reasons that I have discussed in previous videos. But the thing is, Onyx is a slow-acting crystal which has to be worn over a period of time, a long period of time, before one can feel its effects. It's that slow. And if you're working with Onyx by itself, and by that I mean if you're working with Onyx not in combination with other crystals, and you are expecting fast results, you might wait for a long, long time.

And just to be clear about this: even though Onyx is slow, it does not mean that that slowness is a lack of effectiveness. It's slow. It runs deep. It takes its time, and it is effective. So don't get me wrong on that point. For sure, Onyx is a wonderful crystal. And I'm just curious to know if there are any Onyx crystal lovers who have worked with Onyx by itself and who have experienced speedy results.

Let me know in the comment section, because I know that crystals work differently with different individuals. And sometimes you are in one stage of your life when things need to be speeded up, and by benevolent graces things might speed up on your behalf when you're working with a crystal which is generally considered to be slow. Or sometimes things can slow down based on what your life experience is at a particular moment, because that type of speed is what is required at that specific moment in your life. So you never know.

Anyway, for those who are interested, I already made some videos about fast-acting crystals and slow-acting crystals, and you can watch those in case you have time. I'll put a link to them at the end of this video. Okay. Anyway, as you probably know, Onyx is a black crystal, it's a black stone. And even though crystals with similar colors have a specific energy quality, there's usually some differences in these crystals.

I personally find that even though Onyx is a black crystal, it's not as protective as the other black stones, like black tourmaline and black obsidian. And for me, this is because Onyx is a slow-acting crystal, and when I want fast, speedy results, when I want quote-quote protection in the moment, Onyx is just so slow. So crystals like black tourmaline and black obsidian really meet my need in that specific moment. If I sat there waiting for Onyx to come through for me when I needed a situation resolved, it would take me a long, long time. So that for me is a distinction between black tourmaline, black obsidian, and black Onyx, that slow factor, that speed factor. And it matters to me. And maybe you can also tell me whether you've noticed this distinction in terms of protection or not.

The other thing is, Onyx is a stone that is considered to be a transformative stone. And a transformative stone is a stone that is normally used for conscious cultivation of life. It is a stone that has gone through a slow process of evolution. It has taken its sweet time to evolve into what it is right now. And you can usually tell what a transformative stone is because of the lines or the bands that they have. For example, stones like agates are transformative stones because they have those lines and bands, and each line and each band reveals a stage or a layer of transformation that the stone has gone into to become what it is right now. And the other type of crystals that are also considered to be transformative stones are stones with solid colors, like jaspers and jades, and many of these crystals with solid colors.

Anyway, to get back to Onyx: because Onyx has gone through a long and deep and slow process of transformation, it usually resonates strongly with our constitutional structures, our bones, our marrow, what makes us what we are in the physical sense. And because of that same thing, it can be used for issues that have been with us for a long, long time. Those slow things that have been going on in our lives that we've been trying to get rid of, for example, it can truly support that process, because it knows how to support those processes that are deep within us, those things that we've held so deeply that sometimes we want to express, but we don't know how to express it.

Onyx supports that process. Or when we are dealing with situations that are really slow, or that have really been slow in coming to the surface or coming into the light, Onyx can support us in looking at those things layer by layer, critically, because it understands what slow processes can do to bring effective results. So in situations where you've had long-held habits that you want to break, or things that have just been so difficult to break and the processes have been so slow, working with a crystal like Onyx can definitely help you have additional insight into what is going on with those specific situations. So you see, Onyx is a good crystal, right? It is.

Anyway, so what do you do if you're an Onyx lover and you want fast-acting results? Onyx, for sure, is slow-acting. So it may need to be speeded up, and you can do that by combining Onyx with other crystals that are faster. And it's just like how human beings are: sometimes you meet someone and the person speeds up your energy just by the interaction you have with that person. And then of course, sometimes you can meet some types of people who really slow you down, or interrupt your process, or really take you off track. So the choice really, really matters. And sometimes I tend to think about crystal combinations in that way.

The thing is, you just have to know what goes with what, or what supports what, or what doesn't support what, and you're fine. So to get to crystal combinations for Onyx: crystal combinations always depend on a lot of things, what you want to achieve, and what's going on with you. But generally, because Onyx is a slow-acting crystal, a fantastic combination for Onyx would be calcite. Onyx and calcite, because calcite is a soft crystal, and soft crystals soften the hardness in a situation and help the situation or the process move along faster. So calcite would be a great combination crystal for Onyx. And the other thing is that calcite supports the bones, and Onyx is also a crystal that supports the bones, those deep things. So both these crystals, calcite and Onyx, are bone-supporting crystals, so they work well together in cases where you need to deal with constitutional matters or those in-depth, long-term structures, or ancient, deep-rooted things that have been going on in your life experience.

The other good combination is a combination of Onyx and rose quartz. This combination is great for people who want to express and clear deeply held emotions. Remember, Onyx goes deep into the bones. It deals with that deep stuff. So it's not a surface type of crystal. It goes deep into that hidden stuff. And that darkness of Onyx may take its sweet time, but it will surely get you to the place you need to go in terms of looking at what it is that you need to resolve to get you out of that dark space. And when you combine Onyx with loving rose quartz energy, the process can be very healing, no matter how the expression of the emotion is in the end. So rose quartz and Onyx is a wonderful healing combination.

And the other thing is, Onyx can be combined with any type of quartz crystal. You can combine Onyx with amethyst. You can combine Onyx and citrine. You can combine Onyx and titanium quartz. You can combine Onyx and smoky quartz. The combination really all depends on what it is that you want to achieve and what it is that is going on with you. And on top of that combination of quartz and Onyx, you can also include a third crystal, and that third crystal in that combination can be one that targets a specific issue that you're currently working with. But that's a whole nother topic, so I'm not going to touch on that. But that is just one of the other ways in which you can use combinations for your highest good.

Okay, so if you're an Onyx lover, let me know in the comment section what your experience with Onyx is, and also let me know what your favorite Onyx crystal combination is. And let me know if you find Onyx to be fast or slow. Alright, until next time. I love you guys. Bye.
