Today I want to share with you an experience that I had at a gem show that I attended recently, and I really want to hear your perspective on what happened. So this is really a very spontaneous video, because sometimes you just got to relax and talk about crystals from a different perspective, or from a human perspective. Because conversations can't just be serious all the time, sometimes sharing and talking about real-life experiences really helps in deepening understanding and also to bring clarity in many situations.
Anywho, the question is this: if you went to a gem show, or to a crystal store or whatever, and you saw someone about to buy a fake crystal, what would you do? Would you tell the person, or would you not tell the person? Would you say something or not? Let me tell you, the last time I went to the gem show, I learned a huge lesson. Or rather, I was reminded that sometimes it's just better to zip it. It's just better to not say a word.
And by the way, before I go on, let me know in the comment section whether you would tell someone that they were buying a fake crystal or not. So this is what happened: while I was at the gem show, I was standing next to a woman who was asking for a citrine. So the vendor says that he has citrine, so he brings out this orange-looking crystal, I don't even think it was a real crystal. It was some type of orange-looking crystal with some inclusions in it.
And he tells the woman that that's citrine, and he's actually charging a very exorbitant price for it. That thing was really expensive, and it was not citrine. So the woman was looking at that thing, and it kind of looked like she was going to buy that crystal. So since I was standing next to her, I just mentioned to her, as a matter of courtesy, I mean, that's what I was thinking, look out for someone else. This is sister to sister, or crystal lover to crystal lover: this is not real citrine.
And as soon as I said those words, I knew that I had made a mistake, because this woman turned around and she faced me, and I could feel that energy coming at me. Just by the way she turned around, I knew I was in trouble. Oh my gosh, the way she looked at me, it was like daggers were coming out from her eyes. She looked at me head to toe, left, right, north, south, east, west. That look of disgust was all over her face.
So I was like, oh my gosh, Caroline, what have you done? So I fled from that table and ran to the next table, and thankfully the vendor there was selling Moldavites and tektites and meteorites, you know, these high-vibration stones. So I stood there and I was like, oh my gosh, Caroline, you should not have said a word. So here I was thinking that I was helping someone out, but the person was like, oh my gosh girl, you need to stay in your lane, right?
So I learned my lesson, and it really reminded me of what usually happens sometimes in this spiritual walk, where we are so excited about what we know and what we are coming into, and how alive we feel because we have opened up to a new path that is helping us grow and expand, and we want to share it with other people. And then sometimes you try to share things, maybe with your family members or maybe with people in your circles, and they don't want to hear this thing. Because on a certain level, they have not entered that space where that information can be easily received by them. Their approach to life is totally different from how you're approaching life, even though you might feel that you're on the same wavelength on a couple of things. And no matter how much you want people to kind of really get it, sometimes people just don't get it, because they are not there.
And this incident at the gem show sort of reminded me of how eager I used to be to share every little thing that I knew with others, especially during those days when I had first got into Reiki, which is an energy healing modality for those who don't know. And it was working so beautifully for me, and I wanted everyone in my family to experience Reiki, to get that healing energy. And I remember one day I carried my massage table and I went to visit a relative, drove 40 minutes away to go to the relative's house, because the relative also wanted to kind of experience this thing that I was raving about. So as soon as I got to that house, the spouse of that relative stopped me at the door and just basically told me to turn around and go back home, because whatever it was that I was trying to introduce to them was not in the Bible. And I was like, are you kidding me? Are you serious? And the person was like, yeah, that Reiki healing energy is not happening in this house. And I was like, oh my gosh. Anyway, I remember being so crushed by that whole situation, and I kept promising myself: don't share anything with anyone. Keep it to yourself, keep it to yourself. Yeah, but I still keep sharing and keep sharing.
And it's just been such a beautiful thing, sharing my experiences with others, and especially those who get it. So on this spiritual path, we just got to keep going. We just got to keep going no matter what, right? That's how it has to be.
Anywho, to get back to the gem show situation, I moved on from that situation with the citrine, and I just kept enjoying the crystals and just looking at the beautiful crystal beings. Just being so happy and just enjoying the vibe. And then I bumped into this beautiful, beautiful lady who is a fan of the channel, and she was also at the gem show with the intention of buying citrine. And because she knows how much I love crystals, she was showing me her beautiful crystals that she had in the form of bracelets. And I looked at those bracelets, and I immediately noticed that they were fake, but I did not say anything.
Honestly, it was to me as clear as day that those were not genuine crystals. I knew they were colored glass or something that was really inauthentic. And when she pointed out to me the vendor from whom she bought those crystals, I was just like, oh my god, oh my god. People have limited amounts of money that they want to spend at these gem shows, and when things are not real, innocent people, people who I just knew who truly, really want to enjoy the beneficial effects of crystals, can really be deceived. And for me, this is a great concern, because people are really genuinely wanting to enjoy the benefits of crystals, and vendors are selling crystals that are not the real deal and insisting that they are the real deal.
And actually, it happened that I went with her to that vendor, and I was so shocked when she asked for citrine, the vendor kept bringing this fake, I mean the fakest crystals ever, and insisting that they were citrine. So since I had already had a situation with someone else who was selling a fake citrine, I decided to kind of take a different approach. And I really gently guided this woman away from that spot and took her to a place where she was able to get genuine citrine crystals.
But what I consciously chose not to mention to her was that the ones that she already had around her wrist were not the real deal. And the reasons I chose to do this were, of course, because I had learned my lesson earlier. And the other reason is that crystals are teachers. They teach us so many things. When I have been in situations where I bought crystals that were not genuine, fake crystals, I always saw that as an opportunity to learn something about myself. If a crystal that is not authentic comes into my life, I've always taken that as an opportunity for me to examine: what is it that is inauthentic about my life as pertains to the energies of that specific crystal? Because that is what the lesson is. What is that crystal teaching me about an area of my life that I am not being real about? An area of my life that I'm not being genuine about, or authentic about, or that I'm being fake about?
So there is this higher lesson behind why fake things come into our lives. When fake things come into our lives, what is that about? And these are things that we must look into. As a matter of fact, one of the first videos that I ever made about fake crystals was about the lesson of not being authentic. And I'm going to post that video at this link here. You can look at it and really see how the message of crystals, or fake crystals, can really change our lives. Nothing is ever an accident, as far as I'm concerned at least.
So crystal lovers, have you ever bought a fake crystal? And what do you think is the higher lesson that that fake crystal has taught you? And would you tell someone that the crystal they have, that crystal that they really, really, really love, is a fake crystal? Or that they're about to buy a fake crystal? Or would you hesitate because you don't want to break their heart? You don't want to really disappoint them, or you don't want to get those nasty looks.
I know a lot of people would show appreciation if they were told that that crystal they were about to drop a lot of money on was fake. I definitely would be really, really grateful, but not everyone is like that. So let me know in the comment section whether you would touch that subject or not, okay? I love you guys, and until next time, it's truth to power.
