Do you have the winter blues? Do you feel depressed or sad when the seasons change? When the light diminishes, or to put it another way, do you have seasonal affective disorder? Those bad cases of SAD, S-A-D. If you do, then this video is going to be useful for you, because I'm going to share with you three crystals and three ways to use those crystals during this time when the light is diminishing and you're feeling all depressed.

It's always good to have our crystal babies supporting us in our processes of life changes and transitions. For the sake of those who don't know what seasonal affective disorder is: SAD is a condition where some people have difficulty adjusting to the changes in season due to the diminished light of the winter season, and so they usually get depressed as they sense that approaching darkness coming in and the exterior light diminishing. It can really be a struggle for a lot of people, including me. Even I really struggle with my energy during the winter season. I love the sun, and when the sun starts diminishing in light and the seasons start changing and it gets cold, and then the holiday season is approaching as well, my energy really needs a boost. I just kind of feel so down sometimes, and I need to lift myself up or really apply my internal light and sun and really project it out, and it takes some type of work, okay? It's not as easy as in the summer season, where everything is all bright and shiny and I can really be myself, because I'm a sun girl at heart. The winter really brings me down. So I just want to make this video because I know a lot of people really feel that heaviness over this winter season, or whatever season or change anyone is experiencing in their own time zone, and especially when it comes to the cold season. Tell me, do you experience this kind of sadness or depression or heaviness around the winter season? I'd like to know, so leave your comment below, okay?

The sun is the yang of our body. It's the energy of our body that nourishes us, and it brings light into our beings, and that light from the sun is so protective and uplifting for our energy. So for some of us, when that external light is diminishing, we really got to get our internal sun going. We really got to do that in order to uplift ourselves and get ourselves in a better place where we are not feeling depressed, at least to the extent that we can. The great thing about this is that there are other therapies out there that a lot of us use. There's the use of light therapy, which I personally love, and then there's the use of things like medication and psychotherapy, and also the use of vitamin D for things like this. But in this video, I just want to focus on three crystals which you might find as a useful support if you are experiencing winter blues or are feeling sad, okay?

The first crystal you can use to help you adapt to the changing seasons, and especially when you're experiencing these blues, is our beautiful, powerful crystal black tourmaline. We all love black tourmaline, at least most of us do, because we know how powerful its energy is, especially when it comes to absorbing toxic energy. Besides that, the beautiful thing about dark-colored stones or black stones is the fact that they absorb heat and they absorb light. Because black tourmaline absorbs light, the light is contained within the stone. When you wear black tourmaline, especially in the form of a pendant that falls in this area here between your chest, that energy is going to be radiated within your body. That light that has been absorbed within the crystal is just going to be radiating within your body to increase your inner light. It's a very great way to use black tourmaline, especially for the winter blues, or especially to help increase the light, if you specifically have that intention for it to absorb the light and have that light radiated within you. You'll feel so much better, and so much light will be contained within your energy field as a result of this specific intentional use of black tourmaline. So for winter blues, I highly recommend dark-colored crystals, especially black tourmaline. And light-colored crystals should be avoided, especially for the winter season, because they reflect light away from you. When you're wearing a lot of light-colored crystals and you're feeling depressed or whatever during the winter season, that light is going to be reflected away. So stay away from that. If you're experiencing winter blues, check to see if you are wearing light-colored crystals. Stick with the dark-colored crystals, okay?

The second type of crystal to use for winter blues or SAD is Apache tears. Apache tears is a type of obsidian, or natural volcanic glass, which is great for addressing depression or generational trauma. So many people use Apache tears successfully to address situations where there's a lot of sadness, there's a lot of grief, there's a lot of tears. It got its name Apache tears from Native Americans, who believed that the stones represented the tears of their ancestors because their land and their sovereignty had been stolen. At least that's how the story goes, but it still makes a lot of sense. In my experience, Apache tears is a powerful stone to use, especially in the form of an elixir, for these winter blues or winter depression or SAD cases. I have this in the form of an elixir. I have an Apache tear and a red jasper in this elixir, which I'm going to be enjoying in a minute. So Apache tears in the form of an elixir, black tourmaline in the form of a pendant.

The third crystal for SAD, seasonal affective disorder, winter blues, is amethyst. If you are an amethyst lover, there's another use you can put this crystal to, and that is to help you in situations where you're experiencing this thing we don't want, which is called depression. I really love amethyst. Amethyst is an all-around good stone for uplifting energy, and it's really good for situations where you need to be uplifted. I need not say anything more beyond that. We all know that amethyst is just such an uplifting crystal on so many levels. If you are working with amethyst as a crystal for helping you in these situations, wear amethyst on your left wrist. Let it fall on this area here, this energy point around here. Get a bracelet and wear amethyst on your left wrist, and you'll be good to go.

So those are the three crystals: black tourmaline, Apache tears, and amethyst, and I've told you how to wear them or work with them as well. Do you experience winter blues?
