I know that most of us crystal lovers have amethysts somewhere in our crystal collection. So I want to share a few crystals that are good to combine with amethyst crystal and other crystals that are not a good combination choice for amethyst crystal, at least from my perspective. This is really totally relative to me, but I do see a universal application when it comes from the perspective that I'm going to be sharing about today.
Feel free to let me know in the comments section which particular crystals you combine with amethyst and why. Because sometimes the why is so important in helping us understand why we are making certain choices. And if the choices are working for you, let me know because those choices that are working for you might be beneficial for other people. At the end of the day it's always very good to know why we are using our spiritual tools, so we are just not throwing things out there and then hoping for certain outcomes.
The first crystal combination, which for me is a no-no, is a combination of amethyst and pyrite. Amethyst is a spiritual stone. It has spiritual energy. It has spiritual uplifting life force energy. And pyrite is a stone that breaks down the blood on the physical level, but on an energetic level it breaks down life force. Blood is life force. So it kind of chops down the energy of whatever it is that we are trying to do. If you're trying to elevate yourself on a spiritual level and build up your spiritual energy and you combine amethyst and pyrite, which breaks down energy, which breaks down life force, then you are really doing something that's not going to work out for you.
An interesting thing about pyrite is that pyrite is a crystal that is in some cases used to draw or discharge energy away from some crystals, especially crystals like amethyst. So it discharges the accumulated energies from amethyst. When you have a combination of amethyst and pyrite, pyrite has that ability to discharge those lingering vibrations that can be found in amethyst. I personally keep my pyrite and my amethyst away from each other. One is on the other end and this other one is on this other end. So that's one reason why I think this combination is not a good combination.
The second type of amethyst crystal combination, which is a no-no in my books, is a combination of amethyst and hematite. I talked about this in another video, which I'll probably link to at the end of this video somewhere. And if you haven't watched the video about the combinations for hematite crystal, maybe you can take a look at it. But this combination, honestly for me, does not work because hematite is a crystal that is very, very grounding and it's a crystal that pulls energy downward. And amethyst is one that lifts up energy. It operates from this chakra here, that chakra going up.
Just by that one statement alone and the fact that these two crystals are powerful crystals working in different directions, one pulling energy upward and one pulling energy downward, it just kind of shows that there is something at least on some level that has to be considered, especially when it comes to combining these crystals. They'll be working and pulling in different directions, which is something that you may not want.
The other thing again is that amethyst and hematite crystals are crystals that are usually used for a transition process, like for example, when the death or dying process is occurring, to allow a person to release their spirit and move on to the other side of the rainbow. So that alone, the fact that they're both helping in the transition process of death to let go. On one level, you might use them if you want to end something on an energetic level. But on another level, especially on the physical level, this might not be a good combination.
You may choose to work with it like that because certain crystals, of course, have a combination of amethyst and hematite in them and those crystals grow together naturally and that's fine. But it's always a good thing to consider the impact and the effects that both crystal combinations can have on you personally. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, it doesn't. But this is just my personal opinion based on how I'm understanding and how I'm working with energy for myself and also for other people.
So do not combine amethyst and pyrite and do not combine amethyst and hematite. So what type of crystals can you combine with amethyst? The first type of crystal combination that I personally recommend is a combination of rose quartz and amethyst. These two crystals make a powerful, heart-opening, uplifting energy. They're both very powerful, high-vibration energies, the love energy that comes from the rose quartz crystal and the high upper chakra opening energies, spiritually uplifting energies of amethyst. Coming together is a very, very powerful force.
As a matter of fact, amethyst is a very, very good crystal to use to open your hand chakra and usually when you place an amethyst crystal on your hand chakra, it opens up the heart chakra. And guess which other crystal opens up the heart chakra? Rose quartz. So this combination is a powerful combination. You can never go wrong with rose quartz and amethyst, especially when it comes to opening up the heart chakra, especially when you're dealing with things that are blocking your heart chakra. Once your heart chakra is open and you can resolve the issues of the heart chakra, it's so much easier to be spiritually uplifted and amethyst is always going to do that for you. And the combination is just beyond this world.
The second crystal that makes a good combination for amethyst is a combination of amethyst and citrine. As a matter of fact, there's a crystal called ametrine. It's a combination of amethyst and citrine and it comes naturally together. It's such a beautiful color. The yellows and the purples in ametrine are just beautiful. But if you don't have ametrine, amethyst and citrine make a very powerful combination. Ametrine will energize you, it will uplift you, it will expand you, it will give you courage and boldness and make you active. It's a beautiful crystal. It's so uplifting in the way it expands your energy. Amethyst is, as we know, a very uplifting crystal on so many levels. So when you combine these two together for uplifting purposes, then this makes a powerful combination. Go for it, people. This is a great combination.
The third type of crystal that is good as a combination for amethyst is amethyst and smoky quartz. This combination of amethyst and smoky quartz is great, especially for those who are feeling depressed or sad or who have grief in their lives and it's kind of weighing them down. Because smoky quartz is really good for helping us relieve the challenges of life because it kind of grounds us into ourselves in a very uplifting way. It's just so interesting how smoky quartz works, how it grounds that toxic energy that brings us down and helps us feel so much better. It's a beautiful crystal for that.
And amethyst is a crystal also that is great for grief. These purple crystals, the color purple is so good for helping us relieve grief because purple uplifts energy in a way that transmutes negative energy. So if you're feeling sad or depressed or down or you feel like you're going down the tubes, a combination of smoky quartz and amethyst is a great one to try. Try working with this and see how you feel. You will probably feel so much better and so much uplifted after the energy has been infused within your aura and you have done what you need to do to get yourself into a much better state. This combination is a great, great support.
The fourth crystal which makes a good combination for amethyst is a combination of amethyst and lepidolite. Lepidolite is a crystal which has lithium content and it's a very, very calming crystal, especially when it comes to emotional issues which lead to things like obsessions or lead to things like depression or even addictions to alcohol and stuff like that. The lithium content in lepidolite helps to calm those emotions down. It helps to calm down the mind. And because of things like that, the heaviness is lifted and that's almost a similar thing to what amethyst does on a spiritual level.
So a combination of amethyst and lepidolite is a powerfully uplifting combination even though both of these crystals approach the situation from different perspectives. But at the end of the day, amethyst uplifts you spiritually and lepidolite uplifts you emotionally and mentally. So this combination is very, very balanced. It's so beautiful. So think about it. Amethyst and lepidolite is another one of my favorite amethyst crystal combinations.
