Today we'll be talking about dead-end jobs. Are you working at a dead-end job? What is a dead-end job? And what can you do about it?

A dead-end job is a job in which there's little or no chance of progressing financially, emotionally, intellectually.

There is absolutely no kind of satisfaction to be got out of it other than the fact that you get a paycheck at the end of the day. It's just the kind of job that drains you.

In many cases, it makes people feel really worthless. If you're working at a dead-end job day in, day out, every day, at some point you can even lose your mind. Those are the kinds of jobs you really should avoid if you can help it.

In this video, I also want to provide encouragement for those people who find themselves having to take on these kinds of mind-numbing, life-draining, energy-zapping jobs.

No matter what circumstances happened, whatever happened that led to you taking up those positions that drain you, especially if you're the kind of person who feels like there's more to you than meets the eye, and that you can do more, and that maybe this particular job you're doing right now is transitory, and it's just a stepping stone into something, I want to encourage people who find themselves in dead-end jobs, especially women.

This is just a position. It has nothing to do with who you are as a person. It should not be a reflection of you. It is a job, and there's a difference between the job and who you are. You are not the job.

But if you do find yourself in a dead-end job, if you're frustrated by being at that job, spend some time, take some time off, to think about how you can get out of that situation before you find yourself getting really comfortable and really immersed in that kind of situation where there's no mind movement, to the point where you lose who you are.

If you find yourself in a dead-end job, turn off your TV. Say goodbye to your friends who are probably encouraging you to keep at it because that's the only job available, which in some circumstances is okay.

But if you feel like there's more to you than meets the eye, do whatever is necessary to think about what you can do to get yourself out of that situation.

Nobody is a victim. You are not a victim. We find ourselves caught up in situations, but we have to have sometimes that drive to just move out of situations that are sucking our lives away. We only have one life to live.

You only have one life to live. You'd rather just live it doing something that you're passionate about.

I mean, it's tough and everyone complains about the economy, but you cannot allow yourself sometimes to be controlled by the economy. You can work your dead-end job, but think: what else can I do besides working at this dead-end job?

What can I do on the side to fulfill me? What can I do to enable me to get out of this position into something that's much more meaningful?

And while I'm on this video, I also want to encourage you: don't think, just because you're working in a dead-end job, don't allow anyone to for one minute insinuate or suggest that you're an idiot or that you're unintelligent.

Because most people think that because certain people work in dead-end jobs, they imagine, which is wrong on their part, that the person working in a dead-end job is an idiot or is unintelligent.

I mean, people are down and out on their luck sometimes, whatever happens.

But do not for one minute imagine that a person working at a dead-end job is an idiot, and don't allow yourself to be perceived as someone who has nothing more going on for them other than that dead-end job.

You always have to have fire. You always have to have passion. You always have to have a desire to know and do better. You have to learn, you have to want to grow.

And this video is not about people who are content about the status quo, about how life is. This video is for women, especially women, because I'm passionate about working and helping women.

This video is for you to find that fire, to find that passion, to try to capture the essence of your spirit and run with it.

Money is not everything. It covers a lot, but that doesn't mean you cannot find a passion and pursue it, even if it means pursuing it on the side.

You're not an idiot and you're not unintelligent. You're a sharp and brilliant person. You're a brilliant woman, and you can use the skills and the talents and the fire that God has given you, that the universe is providing for you. Opportunities are everywhere.

Look around you. What are you passionate about? What skills do you have? What talents do you have? What can you do to make money? Who can you call right now? Who can help you? Where else can you look?

This video is for women who are motivated to do something, even while they're in that horrible situation. So hopefully you can quit that job you hate.

You're a smart and brilliant person. Don't let anyone lie to you, and don't lie to yourself, because no one is a victim. Come on, do something about it.
