Are you one of the people who don't say thank you? Are you one of the people who don't say thank you? Oh my gosh, ungrateful people piss me off. You have no idea.
So in this video, I'm going to be talking about something that I have observed over the years. There are some people who just don't say thank you. You do all you can for them. Whether it's paid or not paid, you put your heart into helping them.
You do everything within your power to be there for them when they need you, to help them out with all the projects that they do.
Even if you're working, for example, in a work environment, you complete your tasks on time, you deliver the messages to whoever you need to deliver them to, you deliver the projects. But some people just don't say thank you.
Oh my gosh, what is with this sense of entitlement? It's just the most ridiculous and annoying thing ever.
I like to watch people. I like to observe people. And I do learn a lot, and I do strive to become better as a result of the things I see that don't make sense to me.
I try to say thank you all the time. And even if I forget, oh my gosh, forgive me if I do, I do try to say thank you in most cases.
But in Africa, there's a proverb that says: Asante ya ponda ni mateke, which basically means "the thanks that is given to a donkey is a kick." How do you say thank you to a donkey? A kick.
Donkeys are basically beasts of burden in some countries, because they do all the hard manual labor. And what does a donkey get in return? Kicks. Because people don't regard the donkey in high esteem.
They just think, well, you're a donkey, you do all the hard work, and you stay out there, and keep working, keep working. No appreciation. No thank you.
So really, tell me: if you're a person who doesn't say thank you, why do you not say thank you to people who have done all they can to help you in your time of need? Help me understand.
What is the thing that motivates you to not say thank you? Is it that you forget? Is it that you just don't care? Is it that you feel entitled to the help that you have received?
What do you think the person who has helped you all this time is feeling? How do you think this person is feeling? Do you ever think about that?
Listen, I'm just trying to understand why people don't say thank you, why they are so ungrateful. So maybe if I have some clear understanding, then maybe I can be at peace with this. Or maybe it's just my karmic lesson to learn. Or maybe people are fulfilling karma.
Maybe in some past life you were the most ungrateful person. So in this lifetime, you're meeting people who never say thank you, who are ungrateful. Maybe that's the answer. What do you think?
Tell me: are you the one who's ungrateful, or are other people ungrateful toward you? Have you helped someone, done something, and expected some kind of appreciation and thank you? And all you got was a kick?
Are you this beast of burden, this donkey that got kicked after doing all that you could? Tell me. Leave your comments below.
