What's holding you back from doing some of the things that you need to do? Let me tell you what is the most common thing, in my opinion, really, as to why people are held back from doing what they need to do.

I mean, there are many things, but one of the main reasons is the approval that people desire from people. People just want other people to approve of them and their work. People want to be affirmed.

People want other people to tell them how wonderful they are, to give them permission.

Really, that's what it is. People want permission from other people to live their lives. Are you one of them? Are you waiting for someone else to give you approval, to give you permission to pursue your goals?

It's almost like you're just sitting there waiting for your dad, or your mom, or your husband, or your friends to approve one hundred percent and tell you that, well, what you're doing is the right thing to do, so you go out there and do it.

But what if the approval never comes? What if your husband doesn't approve of what you have to do? What if your best friend does not approve of what you have to do? Is that the end of your dream? Is that the end?

You're waiting for your family to applaud you. I mean, it's good to have that approval, and it's good to have that applause coming from people that you care about.

But what if it doesn't come? Some people just don't have people to approve of them, but they're kind of waiting for someone out there to come and tell them that what they're doing is the correct thing to do, instead of listening to themselves.

Your truth is the highest truth. Your dream is yours alone, and no one really cares about your dream the way you do.

Until you begin to act on your dream, until you have the courage and the confidence to go on your dream, it's not possible for you to sell anyone on it.

And it's so funny how sometimes, after you have started acting on your dream, after you have started pursuing your dreams, when people see that the dream is forming and has turned into something that's tangible, then you have a lot of supporters.

People come out of the woodwork. Everybody wants a stake in it. Everyone wants to say how brilliant and how wonderful you are.

Now that things are happening for you, when things were not happening, none of these people were anywhere on the scene. After things have started going right for you, then everyone loves you. You are so wonderful. You are so brilliant. This is my friend.

Everyone's proud of you. They want to introduce you as so-and-so, the founder of EE. It's ridiculous, but that's how it is.

So in a weird way, if you really want to get approval, you better start acting on your goals. But before you act on your goals, it's usually going to be hard to get that kind of support that you need.

So don't wait for approval. Don't wait for permission. The only person who gives you permission to do anything is you. So you have to do what you've got to do on your own terms. Success on your own terms is so sweet.

It's so sweet.

So do what you have to do. Nobody is going to give you permission but yourself. Give yourself permission and get that energy and that drive and that passion going, and do something for yourself. Then the world is going to stand and applaud.

And really, the world is so kind. People are so kind. Everyone's waiting to applaud you. So just go for it. No permission necessary other than the approval of yourself and the permission that you grant yourself.

That's all you need. So say yes to you. You go.
