Sometimes the timing is just not right. The time to start doing something is just not right, and it is what it is. I want to talk about this because I have noticed a tendency to really try to force things to happen, just because everyone is doing certain things at a specific time, even when you do not feel energetically ready.
Sometimes because of pressure, or the way society is set up, there is a tendency to force things just because it is the new year, or just because it is January, or because things are supposed to happen at a specific time according to society. I am personally finding that these things do not work for me. Are you one of the people who just do things because the year has begun, or are you the type who goes with the natural rhythms of life, the natural flow of your energy?
I am not saying it is bad to plan things when everyone else does, because people have to do what they have to do, and the timing of the world sometimes demands it. But I want to focus on another level: the natural cycles of nature, the rhythm of Mother Earth, the seasons of nature, and using those cycles for guidance on when to start things and when to stop, when to take a break, when to pause, when to take action.
These days I am loving being in tune with nature. I have always loved working with the energy of the moon, the waxing and waning cycles, to start and end things. Now incorporating the seasons of nature to guide my process of change is something I find so expanding, so relaxing, and it is making life so much easier. As Mother Nature's children, we can feel these things in our bodies. We can feel resistance, we can feel the flow, the forward motion. We can feel when it is time to stop and when it is time to move. It is innate within each of us.
For me, spring and summer are the best times to start things, and fall and winter are the best times to conclude matters, to stop, to rest. Every time winter or the cold season comes, from October through January, my personal energy diminishes. Even if I want to do things, it is a struggle to start new things. I really have to force myself, and maybe it is because the cold season is not good for my energy. I am just not a cold type of girl.
During those seasons I see people putting emphasis on go, go, go, we have to start this because the new year is coming, but my energy is never in tune with that forward motion. I feel I need to wind down, close the chapter, hibernate. I have noticed that things I start in that time frame never really produce fruit, or are very short lived, whether relationships or jobs. The relationship ends very quickly, or the job has a very limited time span. It does not mean those things are bad, it is just something I have observed.
On the other hand, in the spring and summer, the projects and relationships I start have so much more enthusiasm, they bear so much more fruit, there is so much love in them. The friendships I have made in spring and summer have lasted, they have depth, they have been expansive. Have you noticed things like this in your life? These observations can really help you plan your life. We are always supported, there are always tools to help us be in the rhythm of nature, in abundance, to prosper and thrive.
Nature has its seasons, experienced differently depending on the hemisphere, but no matter where you are, spring and summer represent life energy, beginning energy, and fall and winter represent the ending of the cycle. Spring is about new life, launching new projects, planting new seeds. Seeds germinate and grow in spring, the energy is upbeat, light-hearted, joyful, fresh, alive. Summer is about growth, more light, things flourishing and ripening, people feeling renewed, upbeat vibrant energy. Then fall comes, things wind down, slow down, decay. The green leaves turn brown, trees shed and become bare. Symbolically, our consciousness moves from extroverted outward activity into more introspective, inward-facing activity. Winter is about resting, hibernation, contracting, laying low, preserving your heat, and dreaming about all the good things you will plant in the spring.
It does not make sense to start things that produce growth in the fall, when it is time for things to shed their leaves and rest. Think about it: what are you doing that is out of rhythm with the seasons of nature? Are you planting a seed in the fall when you should have planted it in the spring?
Sometimes I think of wrong timing like the feeling when you are looking for a job, applying everywhere, your application falling into a dark hole. Someone finally responds, sets up an interview, you prepare, they make you feel like you got the job, then tell you to wait two weeks for an official letter. Two weeks go by, no letter, you follow up, and they tell you someone else got it. After all that work and energy, there is that feeling like falling from a tower. That is the kind of resistance you get when you are not in the right rhythm with nature, not in the right season or timing.
This does not happen all the time, because sometimes circumstances allow you to move forward without being in nature's rhythm, and many of us survive that way because we live in two worlds. But the natural cycles and rhythms of nature are beneficial in so many ways, especially now that the energy is changing. We have to be in tune with nature, with the astrological energy and Mother Nature's energy, the energy of the earth. We have to notice when energies have shifted and when we need to be in rhythm. Falling in line with the rhythms of nature is what I am doing now, because I am finding it so much easier, things are not such an uphill struggle, and the seeds I am planting are bearing good fruit. How are you working with the seasons of nature? Are you in tune or not? Let me know in the comment section. Until next time, I love you guys.
